Hi Gman, did you try this image in greyscale?? I would like to see how it looks. I find the blue and gold distracting. I think that might go away in greyscale and the power of this image could emerge. Am I correct? or am I just annoying? Is there correctness? let me know what you think. vjane
I don't need to tell you vjane that there is no correctness. I will try it in B&W and let you know, I have a feeling you are right though, something drew me to this for the blog but something was also missing. We shall see.
Hi G, I guess it is not one of these double-pics where you have to find the differences between the 2 pics. The only difference I notice is that one of the pics is a little darker, correct? Keep on flashing otherwise you will be blitzed!
I have had time to look at this finally. a couple of comments.this photograph has two sides and in some ways it reminds me of the new work you are doing. I see it divided at the black bottom of the dryer pole, if that line is extended bottom to top.
On the left in greyscale the two white triangles emerge as the organizers and controllers of all the dark pattern. Intense value contrast and in the colour version, intense colour and value contrast, are bringing the image into being. on the right hand side in both colour and greyscale there is an image of exraordinary subtlety. It could be interesting if you played with the two halves (or not quite halves) by splicing and reconfiguring.

there is a pastiche of pattern and a repetition or rather reappearance of the fence in abstract.
